Why Dog Jail ? I think it will be fairly obvious if you arrive at the parking place but not so if coming from Llanwrst along the river bank. You will need your own pen and perhaps tweezers. Happy Caching.
The cache is a short walk along a footpath off a fairly wide back road from Llanwrst to Betws-y-coed with lay-by parking for one car. (Be careful of geo kids when alighting your vehicle as layby is quite narrow.) Alternatively it can be completed as part of the Llanwrst River Walk Series from the opposite direction (continue on from GC5A5NB) . The GZ over looks the Afon/River Conwy which is also fed by the Nantygwryd River flowing over the famous Swallow Falls just outside of Betws-y- coed. The forested hills hide many trails that are accessible by foot, mountain bike or car and some wonderful lakes/reservoirs, Llyn Gerionydd and Llyn Crafnant to name a couple. There are numerous caches hidden in the nearby forest and a drive by further towards Betws-y-Coed (GC52KVN). The footpath carries on for some distance along the coarse of the river but be careful with children and geo hounds especially in the lambing season. PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE STONES FROM THE WALL, THE CACHE IS NOT IN OR ON THE WALL. The cache is a small tube in a Camo container. Enjoy. Well done to andycop FTF 11 May 14
