Geocache Description:

This cache is not hidden at posted coordinates. You will need to solve the puzzle below to get coordinates for the cache. Since the hide is in residential area please use stealth, so that the cache does not get muggled.

Ariadne was a daughter of King Minos who put her in charge of labirynth where every 7 years a number of Athenias were sacrificed to Minotaur. One year the sacrificial party include Theseus, the son of King Aegeus, who volunteered to kill Minotaur. Ariadne fell in love with Theseus at first sight and helped him by giving him a sword and a ball of thread (an ancient version of GPS), so that he could find his way out of the labirynth.

To successfully get to the cache you will need to navigate a network of Cranford streets that can be anything short of a maze worthy of Ariadne's oversight. To make things worse, the street names are placed on small concrete obelisks (ὀβελίσκος) that I believe are designed to keep visitors trapped until they can fall prey to Minotaur. Even if you do have a set of latest maps, do not discount the value of Ariadne's help as you never know when it may come in handy!

The treasure is located at Minotaur Place, but to get the exact location you will need to discover which segment of the labirynth path pictured below is not passable by a chariot (and I don't mean one of these two-wheel replacements for a horse that people nowadays use, nor do I mean one of these tiny Smart Chariots that you could easily park sideways in your horse stable stall; I mean a stately chariot worthy of a geo-warrior that needs some real horse power to pull.) Once you identify this segment, plug its number in place of x in the following set of coordinates: N 40 40.2x4 W 74 18.321

  Path through Cranford Labirynth

καλή τύχη! that's Greek for "Good luck" - I hope your paperless geocaching gps does not crash displaying this, or it could be akin to loosing Ariadne's thread!

Please replace as found and do not post any spoilers in the logs or gallery.

Congratulations to The Orr Knights on FTF!
