Geocache Description:

Bastet, sometimes known as Bast, is the Egyptian goddess of cats. She was thought of as a great protector, particularly of farms as cats killed many pests. She was also sometimes thought of as the eye of Ra. She is sometimes considered another form of Sekhmet. She protected her father whilst he journeyed through the Underworld.
