Geocache Description:

An “FTF Hound” as defined by the Urban Dictionary: a geocacher who goes to extremes to be the first to find a cache. Although the word “extreme” is a bit subjective, I could think of a few FTF Hounds in the South West metro of Minneapolis. I am guilty as well.  Like solving woofy puzzles? If so, there is a dog bone in your future!

Assume 44 51 as well as 93 25

And then take a look at these hounds!!

Would love to hear about you favorite Minnesota FTF/STF/TTF moment in your log.

Mine: When I first moved to Minnesota (summer of 2012), I saw a few new caches publish on some trails in the Chanhassen area. Not knowing how “FTF Houndy” the folks in the SW area were, I tossed on some running clothes and thought I would give it a go. As I was running, I passed a lady once, maybe twice who didn’t show any signs of a cacher. A good sign I thought. However, when I got to cache #1: STF. Cache #2 STF. Cache #3 STF – all to a cacher named “Hal-oween”. Grumbling, I started running back to the car, and I met up with the lady again. I slowed down, and said something like …”ok, now … let me guess your name.” From that point on, it has been two years of friendly FTF competition, although I think I have more STF (behind Hal-oween) than I have FTFs.
