Geocache Description:

This is one of a series of caches we have placed on a route from Tauranga to Auckland return (T2A-R). The traditional caches contain information needed for two bonus caches, one at either end of the trip.

Lyons Lair - view from near GZ

From time to time we travel this route between Tauranga and Auckland, sometimes returning the same day. We have got into the habit of stopping to find a cache or two as a good excuse to take a break from driving, and decided to place a few ourselves.

Turn off the new SH2 and take the back road to find this cache. There is room to park on the roadside but take care as traffic seems to travel fast here despite being off the main road. The sign at the intersection states '20km to Hunua'. This area could be quite wet at times, so come prepared with good footwear, and watch for blackberry - it may have been sprayed recently but can still bite! Please exercise stealth when searching for the cache as there is a house not far from GZ and there could be people working in the fields.

You are looking for a small screwtop container containing a pencil and log sheet. There is room for small swaps and TB's. The cache also contains one of the clues you will need to locate the T2A-R: Tauranga Bonus cache.

FIRST TO FIND: jazzmo. Congratulations!
