A silly little puzzle.
It was very quiet the day that the cowboy entered town. He rode down the main street past the run-down pavilion. The tumble-weed was blowing between the buildings and not even the ghosts were prowling the streets. He reached the doors of the old saloon and climbed down, tying his mount to the rail. He pushed open the doors and looked in at the scattered furniture – no chance of a hotdog and pint of beer here. He glanced around the street and spotted somewhere for a drink. He turned on the stopcock and water poured out of the spigot into the birdbath.
Paddock Wood is a very different place these days.

An interesting fact, unconnected with the puzzle, is that George Orwell worked as a hop picker near Paddock Wood in 1931 in order to write an essay on the life of the hop pickers, who he considered were little more than slaves.
