Geocache Description:

The Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias) is a large wader that builds a large stick nest in a group called a colony, as seen to the west.  This colony was started in the early 1990s with 3 nests and now has over 40. Great Blue Herons feed by standing still or walking slowly, and eat anything small enough to swallow including fish, frogs, insects, and other birds.

The cache is a small camouflaged peanut butter jar containing a log only.  There is ample parking on the wide road shoulder.  Beware of muggles stopping to view the colony.
