This cache is established in the heart of Minto Flats, a beautiful, wildlife rich area west of Fairbanks. The cache is in sight of the cache structures on the banks of Goldstream Creek near where the stream that drains the Minto Lakes enters. We placed this cache during a northern pike fishing trip via snowmachine in April 2014, some 30+ miles from the top of Murphy Dome.
Cache is a large bison, big enough for a few smallish items. This cache is winter and summer accessible as long as a stray beaver doesn't get to work!! Difficulty and Terrain ratings are based on the fact a hike would be virtually impossible. Access is by boat in summer or snow machine in winter. Be careful in the spring and fall for ice either going out or forming!!
