Nearby is the First United Methodist Church. Did you know that this church has the oldest continuously chartered Boy Scout Troop in the Bayou District? Troop 311 has been supported by the church since 1942. That is more than 70 years. The church also has had a Cub Scout Pack since 1969. And in 2011, the church added a Venturing Crew.
The Boy Scout Troop has more then 70 eagle scouts to its credit. Thank you First United Methodist Church for supporting scouting and for being a charter partner that supports our youth with a wholesome program.
