Geocache Description:

cache is placed near WW2 sea defences, affords great views and a wonderfull walk. accessible from either the Quay or sea front.

This great walk along the sea front takes you by the world war 2 relics that defended the port against naval attack. The battery was originally napoleonic but ipgraded in both world wars. The cache is a micro near to the exposed machine gun pill box. Not often viewed but if you are visiting well worth a look! Great views of the port, the stour and the sea.
