Fontenen på torget i Brumunddal ble offisielt åpnet 10. mai 2014. Den var en gave fra Sparebanken Hedmarks kunstfond til Ringsaker kommune og byen Brumunddal.
Kunstneren Tomasz Boncza-Ozdowski vant enstemmig mot 6 andre i konkurransen om fontenedesignet. Han har latt seg inspirere av elementene som var helt sentrale da byen Brumunddal ble bygget opp, nemlig vann, treverk og industri.
Fontenen kan gi assosiasjoner til trær og busker eller vannplanter – en oase. Kunstverket er laget av glass, syrefast stål og aluminium – materialer som reflekterer både lys, gjenstander og bevegelse rundt seg. Fontenen vil dermed endre uttrykk avhengig av årstidene og tiden på døgnet.

The fountain in the market place in Brumunddal was officially opened on May 10th 2014. It was a gift from Sparebanken Hedmarks artfund to Ringsaker municipal and the city of Brumunddal.
The artist Tomasz Boncza-Ozdowski won the competition for the fountain design unanimously against 6 others. He has been inspired by the elements that the city of Brumunddal was built upon: water, wood and industry.
The fountain may resemble trees and bushes or waterplants - an oasis. The artwork is made of glass, steel and aluminum - materials that reflect both light, objects and movement around them. The fountain will therefore look differently depending on the season and time of day.
