Cybermen: The Doctor Who Series Traditional Cache

This cache is located on the Vassar Farms property, a 527 acre plot right in Poughkeepsie.  The Vassar Farm property has miles of well marked and maintained trails that will take you through woods and fields, past ponds, streams and marshes.  You will be treated to a vast variety of wildlife from deer to beaver, turtles to a multitude of bird species.  We have been given permission to use this area for our game, treat it with respect and enjoy what it has to offer.

This cache is located on the Red trail. The Cybermen were created by John Lumic in an attempt to make a better human...the next stage in their evolution.  Combining a human brain with a metallic body, the Cybermen have the appearance of robots.  But these creations are far from perfect.  Their ultimate mission is to convert the entire human race into a race of Cybermen.  To do this, the part of the brain related to emotions is stunted.  If the Cybermen brains become aware of the fact that their trapped inside the steel shell, the humanity drives them insane.  The Doctor is well aware of the dangers the Cybermen present and he tries to stop their advance no matter where it is.
