Geocache Description:

This is an unusual container, which is sort of halfway between being a nano and a micro. You can see the noticeboards nearby. Unfortunately, the people around here like to tag these boards and drop their litter, so I apologise on their behalf.

Cyclists, you will like this trail, there are small hills off the trail for some better thrills. Wheelchair users, you will be able to go near to GZ, but I'm afraid that you would need a partner to retrieve it.

This is number 7 of the ch00 ch00 series, which is a series of caches retracing the Dyke Railway's route.
ch00 ch00

This is the point where in modern times the Dyke Railway trail begins. So from this point you'll have less pedestrian muggles, but more dog walking muggles.

Gone were the bridges and cuttings, now it was relatively smooth sailing up to the Dyke for the railway engineers.

There aren't really any pictures of this area at the time of the railway, but below you can see some pictures taken within the first few decades after the railway was closed:

GZ is in view here! The railway closed just before WWII, the rails were taken for scrap metal, but it took a few decades for any real re-development to happen.

This one is further up from GZ, on the trail to the Dyke:

Before the trees were planted. Those trees really do add to the overall look of the area!
