SettleStone
Set amongst the longest mountain range in Faerun, this settlement was built entirely above ground. Original known as Dwarvendarrow, the village was built with huge slabs of rock laid against one another. These sturdy structures survived several centuries after the village was abandoned. The residents left for the safe confines of nearby Mithral Hall; an underground settlement of unimaginable wonder and infrastructure.
SettleStone was abandoned for the Hall due to encroaching barbarian tribes, and unchecked evil presence. The dwarves, NEVER scared to fight, turned their backs when they realized the human settlers were unwilling to help defend their own safety. In less than a year of the dwarves mass exodus, the town of SettleStone, and the surrounding area, were almost lifeless other than the kobolds, ogres, rock giants, and worse that all combined ….. the Drow.
