With the arrival of spring and longer days, this old jail bird was reminiscing about all the springs spent as a guest at correctional facilities. The Director of the halfway house was out for the day, so I hot-wired the van and took a drive through the countryside. I placed caches fashioned from junk I found on the floor of the van at locations that reminded me of these prisons. These are all P&G’s with convenient parking, though not all are simple to find.
This spot reminded me of the area around Adirondak Correctional Facility in upstate NY. The tall pines, the unspoiled wilderness. It is a wilderness inside too. Outside, not so bad all things considered.
Bring a pen.
