Geocache Description:

HELP! A terrible crime has been committed!
Detective Smuggles is requesting all available cachers' assistance to solve this mystery!!!

A local cacher, Cowboy, has been (gasp) MURDERED.

Cowboy was recently reported missing by his caching friends. Ace investigator, Detective Smuggles, was assigned the case and immediately suspected foul play. Forensic evidence suggests Cowboy was murdered. Cowboy's body has not been recovered despite an intensive investigation. Detective Smuggles has narrowed down likely locations, possible murder weapons and a number of suspects. The trail has since gone cold and Detective Smuggles needs your help.

Should you decide to assist Detective Smuggles, you will need to determine the correct Suspect, Weapon and Location to solve this mystery. Be alert and look for clues during your quest; like any good detective, take detailed notes. One never knows just what evidence may help you during your investigation.

Join us to learn more about this hideous crime, receive coordinates to the caches and start your quest. There will be about 18 caches to complete during your quest; all located in the Shenipsit State Forest area.
Of course, we will also exchange travel bugs, celebrate recent milestones and talk caching!

The Caching Detective's Creed

No greater honor will ever be bestowed on you as a Caching Detective or a more profound duty imposed on you than when you are entrusted with the investigation of the death of a fellow cacher. It is the moral duty and, as a Detective entrusted with such a duty, it is incumbent upon you to follow the course of events and the facts as they develop to their ultimate conclusion. It is a heavy responsibility. As such, let no muggle deter you from the truth or your personal conviction to see that justice is done, not only for the deceased cacher, but for the caching community as well.

Located in Shenipsit State Forest, this area has no entrance fee, pets on leash are permitted and is open one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset.

Wear Blaze Orange During Hunting Season
Though there is no requirement for hikers/cachers to wear Fluorescent (Blaze) Orange, it is mandatory for hunters. It is highly recommended cachers follow these hunter requirements/recommendations by the DEEP:

During the period September 1 through the last day of February, hunters are required to wear at least 400 square inches of fluorescent orange clothing above the waist and visible from all sides. An orange hat, in addition to a coat or vest, is strongly recommended.
