Geocache Description:

A quick 'Drive by' if you are travelling to or from the moors along this way. Room for a couple of cars or push bikes etc.

I have travelled this way for over 25 years and a while ago I noticed a plaque in the vegetation. I decided to stop a few days ago and investigate, here's what I found.............The plaque is at the site of a medieval relic in the form of some stones that once formed a cross, this cross is one of ten that marked an old trackway from Plympton Priory to it's farthest lands at Samford Spiney near Yelverton.

More can be found online if you have a dig around. I wonder where the other ones are, no doubt you can research yourselves if you are interested and maybe post in the log.
