Küüditatud prantslaste mälestusmärk
(ENG) It was the Second World War. In the years 1942-1944 was deported from France 79 Nazi convoys with Jewish prisoners. One of them, 73 - th convoy, has been directed to the occupied Baltic states for reasons not yet to be elucidated. Five wagons convoy delivered approximately 300 Jews from France, 23 of which were forced to work Lasnamägi military airfield. Few of them were still alive. In memory of these events in Tallinn was unveiled a memorial stone dedicated to the French deportees. To the memorial opening were arrived their close relatives, including the last alive deportee Henri Zajdenwergier.
It was just one and small episode from the war. Do not forget about this terrible war, this tragedy should never happen again!
The memorial stone is located at zero. The cache is near the memorial, about 80m to the east-south. Hints you can get from the pictures. Originally the box contains a logbook, a pencil and a stone from the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. Do not take it along, let it stay here! You can leave to the container the war-time related objects, that not degrading the honor, dignity and the memory of war veterans.
(EST) Oli Teine maailmasõda. Aastail 1942-1944 küüditati Prantsusmaalt 79 konvoid juute. Üks neist, 73 - ne konvoi, suunati seni väljaselgitamata põhjustel okupeeritud Baltikumi. Viis vagunit konvoist ligi 300 juuti Prantsusmaalt toimetati Tallinna, nendest 23 tegid sunnitööd Lasnamäe lennuväljal. Vähesed neist olid veel elus. Tallinnas sunnitööd teinud prantslastele pühendatud mälestuskivi avamisele saabusid deporteeritute lähedased, nende hulgas viimane elusolev deporteeritu Henri Zajdenwergier.
See oli ainult üks ja väike sõja episood. Ära unusta sõda, see tragöödia ei tohiks kunagi korduda!

Ärge võtke seda kaasa, las ta jääb siia! Konteinerisse võib jätta sõjaajaga seotud esemeid, kuid need ei tohiks solvata kellegi, eelkõige sõjaveteranide au, väärikust ja mälestust.
