On the way to GZ look out for the Tibetan Prayer Wheels another unusual sight.
On to the church description.
Glastonbury, with its famous Tor, topped by an old chapel with fantastic views over Somerset to Wales. Many know that the area was known as Avalon, the legendary seat of King Arthur, with the Chalice Well, the Abbey ruins (destroyed by Henry V111 in the 16th century) and a range of esoteric shops and outlets offering alternative lifestyles, therapies and 'spiritual' goods. The town is much visited by 'New Agers' and visitors alike and is close to the site of the famous Rock Festival held most years at Pilton, 6 miles away near Shepton Mallet. HOW TO FIND US: The URC is found at the top of the High Street in a prominent position. The present building was built in the 19th century but worship has been held on the site since 1662.
