The cache you are looking for is a short walk from Mountain Bike Trail Head entrance. The trail leads down hill and then goes into a bend and continues further down hill. You will be looking for a small lock-n-lock style container. When this cache was hidden the Mayapple plant was in abundance. On a CITO event that was held in the past, the youngest Singletree Expedition taught us what the Mayapple looked like.
To get to this cache it is recommended to park at the Mountain Bike Trail Head. Two different ways to get to the cache location. #1: Hike along the Mtn Bike Trail until you reach the cache.#2: Walk down the road, past the gate, past the Beaver Pond, continue past the horse stables and you will be on the access road to a large field. Once you reach the field go right and you will re-enter the woods at another trail that leads toward the cache. Both ways are easy terrain and suitable for cachers of all ages. The return trip will be up hill so keep that in mind. This trail is a loop and will bring you by all 'A Walk In The Woods' Caches. It is a longer hike so bring water to drink and keep in mind that you are in the southern mountains, you will need to watch for snakes, bears, ticks, biting insects, poison plants.. you know, nature stuff! Cache placed with permission.
