El Centro de Interpretación le dará a conocer la historia natural y humana de las Islas Galápagos, además se puede visitar el mirador las Tijeretas o Cerro de las fragatas, que ofrece una hermosa vista del océano y en playa Carola se puede bucear con los lobos marinos.
El Cerro Tijeretas está ubicado a 2 km del Centro de Interpretación, al suroeste de la Isla San Cristóbal. Llamado así por las fragatas del lugar, cuya cola termina en forma de tijeras, fue uno de los primeros lugares donde desembarcó el biólogo Inglés, Charles Robert Darwin. Es el lugar ideal para disfrutar de una espectacular vista de las playas de arena blanca en un lado y los techos de Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, por el otro.
