Travelling along this road is a breathtaking experience. First you follow Fish Creek until it spills into the Beatton River. The Beatton is an oxbow river that switches back and forth for many miles and continues on its way south to the 'mighty' Peace River and eventually to the Arctic Ocean. The Beatton breaks (valleys) offer many walks, picnic areas along the shorelines and wonderful views of the northern forests. In autumn the golden aspens blanket the hillsides.
