Geocache Description:

BYOP. Winter-friendly but watch for muggles. Easiest access is the gate on the NW corner of the cemetery and then walk across the N part of the grounds over to GZ about 150' E of the gate. Terrain considerably higher if you attempt directly from the road. We came across this quaint little cemetery while out caching in the area. Please be respectful of the area.

Quincy Cemetery is located in the NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 14 in Marcy Township, Boone County, Iowa.

Quincy was the first town platted in Marcy Township. It was laid out by Jerome Gordon and Thomas Shaw, in Section 14, on November 2, 1854. The town failed to build up and only the Methodist Episcopal Church and a schoolhouse stood where the town of Quincy was once planned.

In addition to the cache, there is a survey marker located just N of where the container is hidden.
