This geocache is among a series, placed in and around the Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust. With diverse landscapes, maintained trails, and naturally restored plant and wildlife, this 720 acre preserve along the Pennypack Creek is an asylum from the craziness of the daily grind! This cache is located just off the Creek Road Trail
The stone wall from the lowest level of a three-story mill is visible adjacent to the Creek Road Trail. According to local legends, this mill was used to grind animal bones for fertilizer. It was powered by an unusual waterwheel that rotated horizontally rather than vertically as more traditional overshot or undershot waterwheels do.
