All I ask of you when you claim this smiley is to log your visit with the name of your hometown and at least two facts it.. (where you were born or grew up!)
I figured being from a military town there were lots of us from all over in one area, and it would be fun to see where we are all from and get to know that city/town a little better.
Instead of logging it, I will just start here..
I am from New London, Ohio. (sort of near Cleveland, GO BROWNS/INDIANS/CAVS!) I lived there my entire life leading up to the year 2000. When I moved to Virginia Beach.
10 Facts about New London, Ohio.
- There is only one stop light.
- There is only one grocery store.
- We have the best local pizza joint, the food is fantastic.
- The population was 2,461 at the 2010 census.
- New London has been designated Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation.
- New London is actually a village, and the village motto is "The Right Place at the Right Time"
- New London has two parks, both with campground areas, that are separated by an excellent golf course and a reservoir with cabins you can rent out by the water.
- New London High Schools mascot is the Wildcats. Their school colors are Red & Black.
- The current mayor of New London is Darwin Anderson. (Who just so happens to be my uncle!)
- Robin Meade (Also my cousin!), the lead anchor from "Morning Express w/Robin Meade!" on HLN in the mornings is from New London.
