Geocache Description:

This is the first letterbox hybrid cache placed in Gratis, Ohio.  Once you reach gz, face South, so that the landscape light is on your right side. Where the grass meets the greenery, you will find a smile.

Theres 3 keychain charms enclosed, 1 is the FTF Prize.

Please do NOT remove the stamp that is enclosed in this cache.  It is not swag. It is needed for the letterbox. If you have a personal or signature stamp, please bring it with you to add your stamp to the log.  If you do not have one, just sign your geocache name to the log.  If you use the enclosed stamp to add its imprint to your own stamp-collection/letterbox notepad, please replace it in & re-seal the plastic bag to help prevent ink from getting all over everything else in the cache.

The township of Gratis was originally named Winchester. It was founded June 11, 1817 by Martin Saylor, Abraham Wimmer, Nicholas Gift, and Jacob Gift. There was a lot of confusion about this location because there was another town in Ohio that was also named Winchester. Due to this confusion, the Post Office in this town was named the "Gratis Post Office", and finally in 1917, the town name was officially changed to match that of the Post Office.

I hope you enjoy the "mini-map" of the town enclosed in this cache. :-) Please let me know if there are any problems with this cache.
