Windfarms love them or loathe them they are now a feature of our landscape. I'm confient though that everyone will agree the view from the top of this hill is quite spectacular. On a clear day you can make out the Pennines in the distance.
Parking is available VERY close by. Other parking options are also available not far from the geocache. There is no need to enter the windfarm. The cache can be accessed from the road.
The geocache only contains the log so please bring a pen/pencil.
OCCASIONAL STEALTH / DISCRETION REQUIRED. This is an active windfarm and from time to time you may find maintenance crews working on the turbines. If they are on site the gates will be open. Should they be there when you arrive please consider leaving this geocache for another day. If anyone asks what your up to you could pretend to be a wind farm enthusiast I suppose!
