Wheels Up Traditional Cache

We placed this cache close to one end of the abandoned airfield. If pilots of old were taking off in this direction then "wheels up" would mean they were on their way, of course if they were landing they had better make sure their wheels were down.

I chose to call this cache Wheels Up because it is located in a spot significantly higher than the runway itself and gives a pretty good birds eye view of it.

For the best direction to travel from see the listing for "Cache Landing" to avoid that sinking feeling. This Cache is located in a rocky area with a drop, you will need to get out of your car eventually and when you do watch your footing when clambering about. If you like to drive as close as you can to your objective, and are approaching from above, then dont get too close as a 3 metre nose dive in your car can cause great upset. If you come from below you should be OK if it is dry.
