Geocache Description:

This series honors famous roads in Michigan.

TO LOG THIS SERIES YOU WILL NEED A PEN!

A felt tip pen will work the best (consider this your big hint).  Please write small on the log - try to use initials only – and replace exactly as you found it.

Telegraph Road, along with Woodward Avenue, follows the path of the Native American Saginaw Trail.  The road was developed in the mid 1800s as a maintenance artery, servicing the telegraph lines which ran from Toledo to Dearborn.  The stretch in Southfield near 12 Mile Road sees about 85,000 cars per day.

The total length of the road, which stretches from Clarkston, Michigan to Minturn, Colorado is 1,540 miles, 79 miles of which are in Michigan.
