T2A-R: Take a Break at the Lake (Waihi, Waikato) Traditional Geocache

This is one of a series of caches we have placed on a route from Tauranga to Auckland return (T2A-R). The traditional caches will contain information needed for two bonus caches, one at either end of the trip.

From time to time we travel this route between Tauranga and Auckland, sometimes returning the same day. We have got into the habit of stopping to find a cache or two as a good excuse to take a break from driving, and decided to place a few ourselves.

The co-ords will take you to the Lake Gilmour Reserve. This is a great place to break your trip, with picnic tables and public toilets nearby (N.B. the toilets are open from 6am - 10pm). Please take care with young children near the water.

The cache is a 200ml sistema containing a waterproof log sheet and pencil only. There may be room for small swaps and TB's. The cache also contains one of the clues you will need to locate the T2A-R: Tauranga Bonus cache. Please be careful not to be seen retrieving the cache and rehide it well, as this can be a high muggle area.
