The log can be signed prior to meeting the challenge requirements, but the challenge cannot be claimed as a find until all requirements are met. Please report any container issues to the CO for repair. Any signatures on unauthorized replacement containers will be deleted by the CO. The average D/T rating for these caches is 1.5/1.5. The higher rating takes into consideration the requirements for meeting these challenges. Please be aware of the approach of other incoming flights on your taxiway and pull safely to the side to avoid collisions (as an added caution on this taxiway I recommend stopping along north side). When Geocaching began it was more of a hikers or backwoods game and over time has evolved to include large numbers of urban caches The goal of this challenge is to get cachers out looking for caches in remote areas that are outside of the large clusters of urban caches that reside in most cities.The requirement is this: You must find and log at least 15 "remote" caches of any type before you log this challenge. The definition of “remote” is the next cache is at least 5 miles away from the designated cache. When you log your find here, list in your log the GC numbers of the qualifying caches that you found along with the date of each find. (A cache may be claimed as remote if when you found it that it qualified, even if since then another cache has been placed nearby)
Update March 2024: Recently a challenge checker has been created (although I believe that it only checks current status, not what was nearby when the cache was found. So you may have others not shown here or one may now be valid even though at the time it was found it would not qualify. I am willing to accept the results or checker or your own personal list even if checker fails.)
