The Runway Mountain Bike Track opened in November 2013 and is situated on Auckland Airport land just behind a new business area known as 'The District'. According the media reports the area is still being expanded upon and will feature sports fields, an art trail, concert venue, expanded retail and a cool big playground right next to the MTB Park.
Either bring your family and friends or come alone but just don't forget your bike(s) for some adrenaline pumping fun. Some parts are more challenging than others but I have taken along a 4 and 6 year old with not too many issues.
This is the first cache along the track and you are looking a small camouflaged container. You will know it when you see it. TWIST THE TOP TO OPEN - DO NOT PULL IT TOO HARD.
