The Runway Mountain Bike Track opened in November 2013 and is situated on Auckland Airport land just behind a new business area known as 'The District'. According the media reports the area is still being expanded upon and will feature sports fields, an art trail, concert venue, expanded retail and a cool big playground right next to the MTB Park.
Either bring your family and friends or come alone but just don't forget your bike(s) for some adrenaline pumping fun. Some parts are more challenging than others but I have taken along a 4 and 6 year old with not too many issues.
This is the third cache along the track although this location is slightly off the main track and is hidden in the Freaky Forest which is graded as Grade 3 (Advanced). It is a micro hidden in a larger camouflage.
UPDATE 4/1/16: Due to cache being muggled it has been replaced with a more traditional small geocaching container. Hint updated.
