The Cache is located on the Former USAF base at Greenham Common, which has now been returned to common land. Many of the significant buildings remain, such as the air control tower and Bunkers, which once housed many of the US aiforces stocks of Nuclear Weapons and caused many years of demonstrations and protests.
The Common has recently been turned back into common land, the runway and taxi ways have been dug up and used to build the Newbury Bypass (which also caused much protest)and the Hangers and other buildings are part of a large industrial estate.
