Placed with kind permission of Sutton Parish Council in Crag Delph Nook, the location of Sutton Beacon, and picnic area. It is high up on the hill behind Sutton and has some lovely views over the valley. There is also a communications mast at the far end.
This cache was placed by the junior member of our team and is primarily for children so has been filled initially with some small items to swap.
Coordinates have been checked on a number of different devices and days but if gps isn't satisfactory we have given a comprehensive hint. Watch out for nettles as they have proliferated since we placed the cache.
There is short term parking for 1-2 cars outside the locked gate though access may be needed by council staff for maintenance purposes. However it could form part of an enjoyable but strenuous walk on local footpaths from Sutton via Sutton Clough following Lumb Clough beck, and back.
