A beautiful stop at Kennebec park with washrooms and picnic tables off the road. Trail leads under bridge and along the rushing river and falls. Under the highway and up on some moderate terrain.
Hello Geocacher!
This cache starts at the Kennebec falls park to a scenic route to a trail leading along the rushing river and falls. Will involve a few large steps - possibly wet moss. If you have small children, a word of caution to keep them close so they don't risk slipping near the waters edge! The journey begins at the Kennebec Falls Park on the south side of the road. The trailhead starts at the south-side of the road leading towards the falls. The trail leads under the bridge and on up to the precambrian shield moss covered rocks. Caution your step on the wet moss. Soon enough you'll find it. When you have to hug a big white pine, you'll know your close. :)
If you are anywhere near mosquito season, I advise bringing your bug dope of choice. But your should know that; this is the North!
