Every year there is app. 50 players from Saskatchewan that move on to the NHL and we send more there per capita than any province, state or country! About twice as many as Ontario! A small town on the Yellowhead highway app. 1 hour W of Yorkton. even being a huge hockey fan it was geocaching that made me aware of the fact the 4 players have come from foam Lake alone and well known names too. Ted Hargreaves played for the Winnipeg Jets, Dennis Polonich played with the Detroit Red Wings, Bernie Ferderko played with the St. Louis Blues and Pat Elyniuk also played with the Winnipeg Jets. A definite stop when driving through to see the life size hockey cards of all 4 of these players, and there might even be a cache there to find!
