Geocache Description:


A beautiful viewpoint across the Esk Valley.  We often walk down here to visit our friends at St Hedda's RC Primary School.  You might want to stop here to catch your breath before the big hill up to our school.

Please exchange small items with us in this cache, you might get one of our school pens. In this cache we put a trackable. Our trackable item is Gloria the Donkey. We have an adopted school donkey called Gloria who was rescued as a baby. The donkey is a Christian symbol and we are a Church of England school. The donkey is a symbol of peace and has the sign of the Christian cross on its back. The donkey also has some important journeys in the bible so we thought it was a good choice for our donkey to host our trackable cache. Mary and Joseph rode into Bethlehem on a donkey and Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey on Palm Sunday. We would love Gloria to go global for a year and then return to Egton. We would love it if she could send us a postcard here and there along the way. Thank you.
