St Johns is the Parish Church of Buckhurst Hill, It was originaly built as a Chapel of Ease in 1837. The next year the parish of Buckhurst Hill was created and St Johns became a parish church. The church has recently undergone a major refurbishment and now has underfloor heating and a modern Audio visual system.
St Johns is most famous for being the church where the funeral of Jade Goody was held in March 2009.
