There are not enough caches in Los Cabos. We wanted our first Mexican cache to be accessible and safe, and this location fit the bill. It is close enough to port to walk if you are getting off the cruiseship for a few hours, and yet just off the beaten path for most tourists. This is where the locals go.
Not a nano, but bring your own pen. We have increased the difficulty, because of so many dnf's, though mostly because this site has gone through renovation and construction a few times since the cache was originally placed and some cachers were reluctant look further.
Cache is placed with permission of the business owner, that is the original owner of the business that originally sold the best "Burritos Gigantes". The business has undergone a few reincarnations, but it seems every new owner and/or staff who work here are happy to adopt the cache and enjoy meeting the people who come here hunting for the cache. We visit whenever we can, about once a year, and otherwise the cache is maintained by a good friend who lives nearby.
Congratulation to ghound on FTF. Glad you had a beer there! Someday, when we meet, we will buy you one ourselves.
