This is placed here for a really cool view of this old school building. The Old Summerfield School opened in 1925 and closed in the 50's. (The following excerpt is a log entry from the archived cache for this area called "The Haunted") It's owned by the White's who live at the White Plantation..the big white house on the left as you're heading back towards the railroad tracks on Sunset Harbor Road.
I spoke to the owner of this buildings brother and he said the owner is going to convert the building into a house in time. That will be pretty neat. He also explained that the building is wood frame with a concrete covering (like stucco I assume). He was working and we didnt chat long. But I explained to him what geocaching was and what the purpose of the placement was going to be. He said that was fine. That being said please do not go over any fences. The cache is out side of the property. BYOP.
