Yes, it is that time again. Since it has been a few years since I have hosted this particular event I figured it was about time I did so once more. This time I decided to pick a spot with a bit more to offer than the granite statue near a busy intersection I picked last time. So while the event may only last 15 minutes, feel free to plan on spending more time here. Parking is very nearby and free, entry to the nearby attraction is also free, but if you want to partake of any of their product, or take the tour, you should probably bring a bit of cash (not to be confused with cache) with you.
For those of you unfamiliar with the specifics of the WWFM here are the details:
This Flash Mob is a gathering of geocachers that will be only 15 minutes long and will be happening the same time and date all over the world. Even Australia being 17 hours ahead of Pacific Daylight Savings Time will be holding their event simultaneously with the US event at 03:00 on Sunday morning for the fun of joining in with the worldwide geocaching family. You MUST be present DURING this time to claim this event because after 15 minutes…we're gone!
So the plan is, hang out in your car, or nearby, or in the bushes, or go get an ice cream cone until EXACTLY 1 PM, then we all will converge on the posted coordinates, sign the log, chat, etc., etc., etc. At 1:14PM I will snap a quick picture for the page and the PodCacher people, and then at 1:15 we are gone!
There isn't much time for door prizes and the like, but we certainly could trade some bugs or coins if you have them. I also will have a limited number of WWFM pathtags to hand out on a first come, first serve basis.
