The first floor is an exhibition hall, while on the second the history of the fishing industry in Donggang is introduced in detail. This is a must visit place for anyone wanting to learn about how blue fin tuna are caught and about Donggang’s history. Many people are left with a deep impression of the massive tuna, weighing up to several hundred kilograms. The longline fishing method used to catch the tuna and the process of transporting and processing the tuna after they are landed are explained. Visitors also have a chance to pull a 50kg tuna model to feel how hard the fisherman’s work is.
The exhibition hall does not seem to be open. But you can still enjoy many beautiful murals here to experience the fishing culture of Donggang.
