Geocache Description:

Priceless Time is no longer with us but his spirit lives on in the many rural and tree themed caches that he created. Magnetic nano. Bring your own pen/pencil

On a very small reserve set aside especially for one of the finest (Cultivated) Pohutukawa Tree in New Zealand. It is notable not only for its size, but also for its symmetry in which respect it is scarcely typical growing on the corner of Cameron and Leach St New Plymouth. It became a public asset when the land on which it stands was dedicated to the borough council by Mr Charles Swanson. An agreement was made that provides for the tree to overhang its reserve by twenty feet (Approx 6.5 M .) The tree planted in 1874 was brought from Kawhia by Mr Tom Mitchell of the armed constabulary who gave it to his brother-in-law Mr Thomas Inch who owned the land at the time. This road can be very busy so lots of care is required.
