Unarchive a geocache

Archiving a geocache is meant to be a permanent action. Only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ can unarchive caches. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if the cache meets the current geocaching guidelines.

If a cache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance, it will not be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

You are heading for Western Australia’s first farm. The cache is right beside one of the paths leading up to the front door of the farmhouse. You will not need to go into the garden and tread on any plants to find it. The cache is a small plastic container with a log and a pencil inside.

Good Luck!

This property has exceptional national and state heritage significance, as it was the first farm in Western Australia. The farm was originally established in 1827 as part of the European settlement at King George Sound. In 1833, Sir Richard Spencer was appointed Government Resident at Albany. He purchased the Government Farm and resided there with his wife Ann, seven sons and three daughters. Sir Richard named the property Strawberry Hill farm after his former residence in Lyme Regis, England.

When you are  near your destination you can read the story of a ‘Great Southern Expedition’.  The cache is very close by.

If you come during visiting hours go inside the house and discover more about the story of Old Farm, Strawberry Hill.
