Back Road
Part of the I Love 'Ewa Beach series with MudskipZ
This cache is located along 'Ewa Beach's "back road" (at least that's what my Dad used to call it). West Lock Dr. is a stretch of road that runs parallel to Ft. Weaver Rd, along side the West Loch Branch of Pearl Harbor. Back in the day, it was the only other way in or out of 'Ewa Beach but nowadays, it's mostly used by folks that live in Pu'uloa, speed demons, and cops with radar guns.
I chose this particular spot because of the "parking". Be careful when pulling over from & pulling out on to this 40mph road. It can get pretty busy during the early morning and late afternoon, and muggles will notice a car pulled over, so try to be quick. You're looking for a small camo-taped rubbermaid container. There's no need to climb over anything or commune with the many, many spiders that call the trees home. It's a park and grab, designed to show you a different view of 'Ewa Beach. GPS coordinates captured directly over cache. As always, take something - leave something if you like, sign the log, put the cache back exactly where you found it, and if you are so inclined... take some rubbish, too.
Aloha!
Congrats, FTF Skotlee!
