Calling all Guam Geocachers. Summer is upon us once again and it’s time to travel. Join us to find out winners from last year’s race and join this year’s TB Race. We will again have three categories, but we will use Long Jump rules for tracking distance.
Three Categories:
1. Long Jump - most distance travelled, but if one cacher moves a TB several times, only the log with the highest mileage - the longest jump - will be recorded.
- Most caches visited.
- Most exchanges made (different cachers moving the TB).
Rules:
The following rule sets are available/planned on tb-run.com.
- TB needs to get as many miles (km) as possible in the given time. There is a start (June 7, 2014) and end date (June 6, 2015).
2. Winners are:
A. TBs that travel the most miles (km) by the end of the time frame with only the only the highest mileage log by each cacher recorded - Long Jump
B. TBs that visit the most caches
C. TBs that have the most exchanges by cachers moving the trackable.
3. New TBs as well as TBs that have already travelled can participate in the run. Only mileage traveled, caches visited, and exchanges made, that are obtained during the race time frame will be considered.
4. The race will end on Friday, the 6th of June 2014 at 6:00 am giving the travel bugs 364 days to travel.
5. Prizes will be awarded in June 2015.
Interested? If you want to participate and don’t have a travel bug, there will be some travel bugs and silencers available at the event. After you have your TB ready, here's what to do:
1) CREATE and ACTIVATE a TRAVEL BUG or Geocoin.
- Any Travel Bug or Geocoin (with or without miles) may be used in this race.
- Only mileage gained, exchanges made, or caches visited during the race period (06/07/2014 thru 06/06/2015) will be considered.
- Only two Travel Bugs per registered geocacher can participate in the race.
