How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Lots of nostalgic memories of this area where we often took our children to fly kites, skip stones on the water and play on the old tugboat cabin that used to be here until it was likely deemed unsafe by the city's legal department ;)  Now it is heavily used by dogwalkers and kite fliers.

One purpose for this geocache placement is to provide a really cool and scenic location for people's 1000th geocache find (hence its name).

But don't be shy, any Premium member may log this find, it's not just for your 1000th geocache :)

So, we just couldn't let the opportunity slip by when we noticed that an earlier cache in the general vicinity of GZ had been archived.  Now there's new hiding spots to explore :)

Cache is a large, screw-top, camoed peanut butter jar containing logbook, pencil and lots of trade items for the kiddies.

Vehicle parking is abundant in Bellevue Park but you will need to walk or bike a few hundred meters to ground zero.

The park gate is closed and locked at 11:00 P.M. so be sure not to get your vehicle locked in overnight.

Most of the time there are a lot of muggles in the vicinity so please be very careful not to reveal the awesome secret hiding spot.

Please replace it in its proper hiding spot, otherwise muggles may see it.
