Geocache Description:

You are looking for a micro with log only.

Every one has heard of the Great Wall of China, but how about the Great Wall of Saskatchewan? Well there sure is one and it was all hand built by one man. Albert Johnson started building his wall by hand with rocks removed from fields. And there was no shortage as any famer will tell you they hate 2 things in particular, rocks and gophers!! Well Albert started piling the rocks in 1962 and didn't stop unitl 1991. That was when his wall was app. 3/8th of a mile long. The dementions were 6 feet wide on the bottom so the rocks wouldn't fall down. The larger and shapely rocks were used on the outside to give the wall strength and so it wouldn't fall down and especially so he didn't have to use any cement or morter to hold it together. the smaller rocks filled the inside of the structure. The average height was 6 feet tall with it being 12 feet tall in some spots. What an accomplishment for one man. Leave it to a man from Saskatchewan to accomplish such a feat! And if anyone could appreciate where it was built it would be us geocachers, as the wall is located 1.6 kms from a small town called "Smiley"
