This cache has been archived.

debrajean: The KCI Challenge Trail was placed over 10 years ago and It’s been a good run but with all the construction issues going on it’s time for these to go. Thanks to everyone who has contacted me and helped maintain these caches. For those of you who have previously signed the logs, be sure and still take the find when you qualify.

Geocache Description:

<<The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates. To find the true coordinates solve the simple puzzle below. This is a log only (BYOP).>>
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard.  Fasten your GPSr strap, place your logging device in the full solving position and prepare for takeoff on the KCI Geocache Challenge Express once again.

The log can be signed prior to meeting the challenge requirements, but the challenge cannot be claimed as a find until all requirements are met.  Please report any container issues to the CO for repair.  Any signatures on unauthorized replacement containers will be deleted by the CO.  The average D/T rating for these caches is 1.5/1.5. The higher rating takes into consideration the requirements for meeting these challenges.  Please be aware of the approach of other incoming flights on your taxiway and pull safely to the side to avoid collisions. Have fun and thanks for flying KCI!

And now for the challenge:   The United States has 59 protected areas known as National Parks, which are operated by the National Park Service, an agency of the Department of the Interior.  National Parks must be established by an act of the United States Congress.  Your challengeis to visit 10 National Parks and find a cache within the park. That’s all, just 10 caches...in some of the most scenic, beautiful and unique areas in the United States.  As nearly all National Parks don't allow physical caches, most of the caches on your list will either be Virtual or Earthcaches.   (NOTE: This challenge only includes the 59 National Parks and does not include any of the other units managed by the NPS.)

The related web page above lists the current National Parks.

Include the name of the National Park with your cache.

Here is my example:

Puzzle Final: N +.714 and W -.661
